AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

A Season of Transition & Legacy

Dear Healing on Manes Community, some of you may have seen our Facebook post, but we felt it important to share here as well. We are reaching out today with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits to share significant news regarding our journey and our services. In November, we bid a tearful farewell to our beloved equine partner. Scotty brought loves, patience, and compassion to every person he met. His presence was the heartbeat of our healing work.

This loss has been profound. Our Healing on Manes journey started together when I found Jen, Scotty's owner, and she helped make my dreams come true. She shared Scotty with me and together, Scotty and I were able to work with hundreds of kids, families, and adults to see life through a horses' eyes. 

As we navigate this period of mourning, we also embrace a new chapter of growth. My significant other and I have recently moved and purchased a beautiful new property. Though it will take time, I envision a future of rescuing and training a new equine partner and running Healing on Manes from our property.

Building Our New Sanctuary

While we have the land, our existing barn requires essential repairs to ensure a safe and supportive environment for our future horses. Healing on Manes services have been paused since the end of 2024 due to my Master's of Social Work. The goal was to hopefully restart services now, in 2026. With the loss of our partner and the repairs needed on our property, services will remain paused throughout 2026 in order to dedicate our full energy to this restoration and training a new equine partner. This process is necessary as we build a new foundation and return stronger than ever.
